Hot Diggity Dog! It's National Hot Dog month!

Did you know that July is National Hot Dog Month?

  Make this to celebrate!
If I can find a vegan or vegetarian hot dog, you better believe I'll make this for Noli! She'd LOVE it!!

Do you constantly sing "Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener ......"  (Now that it's on your mind for the rest of the day -- hehe I've accomplished my goal! LOL!)
(Oscar Mayer Wienermobile photos from the official Oscar Mayer Hotdogger blog

Following in dad's footsteps ....

Look, look!  A hot dog coat for your pooch!
It's a pattern from Caron yarns if you want to make your own!

Vintage 1950s Autograph Hound

Did you have an autograph hound when you were a kid?  I did! It was just like this one, but yellow! I had everyone sign it in my class that year -- wouldn't it be fun to look at those childish signatures now!
This cute vintage autograph hound is from Jill Ruth on Etsy.

And, ta da!! A hot dog set for your kid's picnic play! Made by yours truly and just listed in my Etsy shop! This set is made of acrylic yarn, but I think I'm going to make something similar in cotton too!! And the cute storage bag can be used for a picnic cloth -- complete with ants!!

Oh, and when you visit my shop -- look in the "Christmas in July sale" section for some great deals!
Yeah, yeah -- I know -- shameless self-promotion.... : )

♥♥♥ Linking up all the hot dog madness to Alphabe-Thursday over at Jenny's place where we are studying the letter H!  Check it out to see what everybody else has come up with! Maybe some more hot dogs -- you never know!!

I was totally expecting to find a hot dog crocheted by you!
There are vegetarian/vegan hot dogs out there. If you want to know a good brand ask me and I'll ask my husband for he loves them.
Yes! Yes! I had one of those autograph hounds! white, I believe!

I didn't know that but then again, I don't like hot dogs. there's just something about them that's just weird.

hope you have a sweet day.

Your hot dog set is adorable! Looks delicious too! I wonder, are those cars allowed on the road? Looks like the hotdog part would get in the way! {:-D

Love all the weiners! :) I had an autograph hound as a kid and it was yellow too. The Weinermobile came to our town last summer so we had to go see it. Your picnic set is adorable!

I had an Autograph hound too...and we love the Oscar Mayer wiener song. lol

Cute hot dog photos! When our youngest was about 4 years old, he came home from a friend's party and asked if he could have some of those "meat sticks"...he didnt know to call them hotdogs...I didnt make hotdogs at home (although, I do love the occasional chili dogs and all the stuff on them!)

Blessings & Aloha!
(still catching up on H posts :o) Hope you get a chance to stop by).

Great post! That hot dog on the top is cracking me up. What kid wouldn't want to eat that meal?

I'm so old I can remember when Oscar Mayer had a mascot. He was a midget, dressed up in a chef's outfit and they called him "Oscar Mayer". He drove around in the original Weiner Mobile making guest appearances and hyping Oscar Mayer wieners. For some reason the kids were always excited to see him, maybe because he always gave away those cute little Oscar Mayer whistles? I'd be surprised if he is still around, though I've heard that the original Weiner Mobile does still exist ... somewhere.
