A Blue Bull and a Little Slugger

Saturday was another day at the ballpark watching Noli's team play. She is turning into quite the slugger!

While walking to the concession stand, I came across this.... only in Texas!

What're those yellow circle things? Planets?

Yeah, baseball planets!

Poor Longhorn, lost his ear
(Note that the fire hydrant has a blue top!)

But he has some mighty pretty eyelashes!

The highlight of the day was that Noli was awarded the game ball! She had two base hits and two RBI's -- the second of which was the run that won the game!! Pretty good for a little kid!

She came running into the dugout, poked her head out and yelled to us, "I won the game!"  I think she knows about the whole team working together, but she was a pretty excited ballplayer at the time! We were pretty excited too!

Here's a video of her famous run, taken by her mama! I swear she's been watching the Rangers play -- just look at those MLB moves!

A proud Noli with the game ball :)

Hi Sarah,

You have every right to be proud. Noli is a talented ball player.

The blue bull is trying to be Vincent Van Gogh. Chicago started all of this with COWS ON PARADE in 1999. Thanks for playing today.

I'm looking forward to reading your comment on my blue injury post. Please come back.

Have a Happy Blue Monday!

That's so exciting! Congrats Noli!

My hometown did horses a few years ago, but none of them had baseball planets!

Congrats to Noli! That's quite an accomplishment! The blue Texas steer is quite interesting to say the least!

Way to go Noli, congratulations.

That is one colorful bull - reminds me of that Ogden Nash poem:
I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one. :)

Congratulations, Noli! I've seen Babe the Blue Ox replicas -- but never a blue bull.

Haha! I'm sure she realizes that she is one of a team of winners, but it's good that she knows she's a winner in her own right as well! That longhorn reminds of the statues we had here in Delaware of dinosaurs.. At least your painted statues have significance to the state! I don't think anyone ever discovered any dinosaurs around here.
