Fortunately, she didn't touch it because it turned out to be, not a cute little caterpillar, but a STINGING one, and the sting can hurt for several days. It's called a "Puss Caterpillar" because of it cute furriness. Sneaky caterpillar, looking so sweet. But if you get stung, it looks like its bottom in the shape of a shoe.
When she was leaving that evening, we put it outside so it could find its mommy and go to sleep...Yikes! It is kinda cute, though.
