This morning I just happened to glance out the back door, and there was a FOX!! So entirely cute.... I quickly went to grab my camera and took a pic through the glass door.
(and only got his tail)
Actually, he is pretty close in these pics -- probably about 20 feet away. But I wasn't about to venture out onto the patio!
Bound to be something yummy here...

Wary...
He gave me some great shots, one time looking straight at me -- definite eye contact! He wasn't skittish at all, really. And he's a few feet closer to me in this pic!
Hmmm, wonder what's on that side of the yard...
Think I'll have a little look-see.
Oh, yum!
He found a morsel of something and then licked his chops!
Must have been a mighty good morsel!
And, with a few more looks my way -- he was gone. Zipped between the shed and the fence. (No, that's not the shed or the fence...it's an old beat up board I sometimes use when I take photos for my vintage shop! Just so you know.)
Or maybe he's watching from one of the trees. Gray fox do climb, you know.

How cool that you were able to get close enough to get such good shots! He's a good looking fellow!
You did a nice photo shoot!
I lived in a tiny town for about a year...Holden, MO. It is over-run by fox! We couldn't believe it. Step outside, especially at dusk, and start seeing them everywhere. I don't know what the deal is. The dog-catcher was a friend of ours. He was always setting traps and re-locating. but, I think they multiplied like rabbits!!
I hope this doesn't happen to you ;)
He's gorgeous & you managed to get some great pictures! We have red fox that have a den at the edge of our back yard, but I can never get very good pictures - they always seem to know when I have my camera with me.
I've seen foxes in my yard twice. It was quite exciting!
You got some great shots!
Such a beautiful creature! Great photos of him! Hope Mr. Fox leaves the kitty alone! Oliver, you have the bestest channels EVER!
We had a red fox in our yard last week, and I tried to get photos, but I was too slow. Your photos turned out great!
