I Scream for Ice Cream!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Did you say that little jingle when you were a kid?  Getting louder and Louder and LOUDER every time?  Oh yeah, I remember that!

I must confess .... I have no control when it comes to ice cream --
No Control -- just ask my hubby! That carton of deliciousness just calls out to me in the night.

I can be innocently sitting on the couch, watching a movie that has NOTHING to do with ice cream, when the siren song starts .....  and I try to ignore it ..... I TRY I tell you ..... but suddenly I am being pulled toward the kitchen ..... and the freezer door opens ..... and that evil ice cream laughs .....  mwahaha .....

Braum's Ice Cream

Braum's is mostly in TX and OK -- and a few other states
If you've eaten at a Braum's or can buy the ice cream where you live, you are very lucky indeed!

Then there's Blue Bell -- made here in Texas
Moo-llennium Crunch is my favorite, along with Cookies 'n Cream with its big chunks of Oreo's, and Homemade Vanilla is THE BEST vanilla anywhere, hands down! Not sold everywhere, but if it's in your grocer's freezer, grab some!!

Large Ice Cream Bowl

I found this great ice cream bowl on Etsy, made by Sue Patrick Pottery
Isn't it just the best?!!
She's got a popcorn bowl too -- who says ice cream and popcorn
can't be eaten together?

And, of course, I must toot my own horn!
It's a good thing the freezer was out of ice cream while I was crocheting this, or I would've been a goner!!

That's Braum's Birthday Cake on the bottom
(yes, it's BLUE and has little pieces of pound cake throughout!)

and Braum's Strawberry on top with real strawberries mixed in!
(in my Etsy shop, of course!)

So grab your ice cream scoop and a big bowl and listen for that
siren song ......  I'll never tell  ; )

Hmmm, next time I think I'll make some scoops and a bowl!
What do you think?

QUESTION ??   What's your favorite ice cream flavor -- or flavors,
'cause I know you have more than one!!

♥♥♥  Linking my love of ice cream over at Miss Jenny's who is teaching us all about the letter "I" today on Alphabe-Thursday! You're sure to find lots of I-inspired posts there!!

We can't keep ice cream in the house. It seems to call all of us to eat it.

You know what? Now I am about to head to my freezer and grab a delightfully frozen treat!!! Ice cream and summer, you can have one without the other.

I'm not sure that I could trust anyone that didn't like ice cream (yeah I know there are those who are lactose intolerant but even they confess that they'd love to be able to enjoy ice cream).
Your double dip, ice cream cones are so cute - almost good enough to eat. :)

I couldn't agree with you more! In my house, popcorn and ice cream is the perfect well-rounded dinner. Fast, easy delicious and ...fairly healthy?

I LOVE your cones--adorable.

So many choices--so little time!!! Ice cream is the quintessential comfort food. I don't know which is my favorite, because I am still eating my way through all the flavors.

PERFECT "I" post!!!

Could you really crochet ice cream scoops?!
Ice cream has always been a high priority in my house, especially the one I grew up in.
Check out Jeni's--which began in Ohio--for her unusual flavors.

Birds of a feather, we are. Ice cream is my biggest weakness. We just got an ice cream maker as a wedding gift, and I made my first batch last night- Ben's (of Ben & Jerry) Chocolate w/ chocolate chips. SO GOOD!

my favorite is vanilla but I also like strawberry with real strawberry bits in them. Breyers & Haggard Dazs are two my favorite ice brand.

hope you're enjoying a delicious day.

Don't even get me started...when it comes to GOOD ice cream, I'm a total sucker. I find that most of the ice cream in the grocery stores is not all that good, though.

In UT, there's Farrs which is flavorful, but it's also fatty and heavy, which I don't care for. We recently discovered Tilamook...rich and yummy.

While it's not ice-cream, but rather tart yogurt, my fave is PinkBerry. Not to be found in UT. boo hiss.

Your little crocheted ice cream cones are ADORABLE! To answer your question, mint chocolate chip is my fav flavor. And that little ditty at the beginning of your post? My used to say that until the day he died. He loved ice cream!

I've never been much of an ice cream fan.

I know...I know. Call Homeland Security.

The kind I like best is when it's semi-melted and not quite so cold!

Your little crocheted ones are perfect for me! And so adorable!

Thanks for a cute link for the letter "I".

I really enjoyed my stop here today!
