You know it's the heat of summer when you see this!!
This cutie squirrel was running around in the tree
and then just plopped down on the fence for a little rest time!
Oliver was watching all the antics from inside ...
wishing, I'm sure to be outside ....
My next-door neighbor told me she had watched a squirrel playing in her yard -- with a ball!! I would have been running for the camera! There's a ball in my yard, but I guess the squirrel liked hers better!
♥♥♥ Linking my lounging squirrel to Alphabe-Thursday over at Miss Jenny's where we are studying the letter "L."

Too cute! I love to watch squirrels :)
I loved our squirrels until one nested up in our attic, chewed a hole through our roof, and ruined my kitchen ceiling.
Now? Not so much. I have become the squirrel scrooge.
;)
Even the squirrels are hot and tired!
Seeing a squirrel play with a ball must have been amazing!
Nature at its best. Good capture of the squirrel playing around.
I agree with the previous commenters: I just LOVE to watch the squirrels in our trees. Just off our deck they are jumping from one to the other, sometimes chasing each other up and down. Soooo cute!
Squirrels are definitely my favorite animal of my childhood! My grandparents used to some visiting them in their garden. Lately they're gone.
Squirrels play with balls.. who
knew? I have dozens of babies out
back that run chasing each other around the large oak tree and it's fun to watch...
Thanks for your visit to my blog today and your sweet comments..
thanks
Sandy
I want to see a squirrel play with a ball!! So cute!
Squirrels know about balls?? Weird;)
How cute. The squirrel's around here eat all the flowers off my plants and trees.~Ames
that's a pretty tame squirrel! I remember my dad hated the squirrels and did everything to keep them away from my mom's bird feeders. I think they're cute, but I don't like hearing scratching noises on the roof! {:-D
squirrels are great. I even had one as a pet when I was 13. It was a baby and I resuced him when his mother got run over by a car. He even slept in bed with me. For years we would come across nuts that he his in all my mom's art supplies....

I do love squirrels! Did you know that black squirrels are hardier? Last year I had a gray, a red, and also a black squirrel in my yard. I wrote a piece on my blog a while ago. I could watch them all day!! Thanks for sharing!
Oh these little squirrels - really they are entertaining (my husband says, yes, very cute until they decide to take up residence in your attic!!).
We have several that live in a large tree in our yard. They delight in tormenting my poodle. Seriously, they throw little bits of pinecone and leaves down at Maggie just to see her go nuts!
Great post for L.

That is priceless! Great capture. I'm sure that the squirrel playing with the ball was great, too.
Adorable! I saw one yesterday that was up on his hind legs and he was just watching me.
I wonder if squirrels think we are silly.
Looks like Oliver is enjoying the view! I love to photograph wildlife! We have some black squirrels here but I've yet to photograph them.
Keeping his belly cool? Anyway, I saw a squirrel out my window yesterday, just running and running back and forth between a shrub and the tree trunk holding nut in his mouth. It almost looked like he was trying to throw off any onlookers that might see where he was going to bury his treasure!
That is just the cutest thing!
hahaha! Oliver likes his Squirrel TV!
I'm a squirrel scrooge too..used to think they were cute but now I think they're just rats with bushy tails because they are every bit as destructive...:(
We love the Squirrel Network too! Our squirrels are grey so we haven't seen a reddish one before. Oliver, we wish we could watch that channel with you!
How fun! At our low elevation here in the desert we rarely see squirrels. When we go North, though, I get as excited when I see one as seeing a 95% off sale sign in Godiva Chocolates.
Sigh.
Thanks for the smile this morning!
This was lovely.
A+
I'm amazed you caught this squirrel in action in all those different positions. They move so fast! Cute photos, though.
