I love pomp and circumstance. Ceremony. Parades.
So I sat on the couch yesterday watching the Inauguration.
I'm essentially off my flu-cation but still have little or no interest in crocheting : (
so I simply sat, hands idle.
For a little peek into my flu-cation, you can check it out

(There's a really cute pic of a really cute puppy with an ice pack on his head.....)
Suffice it to say that I'm about to have done with this blasted cough and I'm back to blogging again!!
Woot woot!!
As I watched today, I snapped a few pics from the TV, and thought I'd share with you.
I love the way there are sometimes overlays when I snap pics from the TV.
I really like this one with President Obama superimposed over the First Lady, Sasha and Malia
James Taylor sang 'America the Beautiful'
Kelly Clarkson sings 'America'
another superimposed shot
Beyonce did a fantastic job on the National Anthem
Love the way this one turned out
Start of the Inaugural Parade
You gotta love a man playing the piccolo
The Army's Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps
Obama's limo's cool new licence plate
You know the secret service is going nuts right about now....
Home again

Wow, I'm impressed with your TV picture taking skills. It looks like you were there in person instead. And those overlays are great!
Great pics and you're right that the superimposed ones are very cool! Glad you got a day to relax on the couch while you're feeling better.
I didn't watch, but I thoroughly enjoyed your photos!
I'll have to check out Beyonce's rendition of the National Anthem. I'm pretty particular about that since a (very long ago) relative wrote it!
I was wondering if they were going to get out of the limo to walk. And they did - twice! Cool pics. I like the views of the girls - they look so much like their mother! And I was impressed by the singers - the women were all so beautiful! I could go on and on - I love Democratic politics! {:-D
You definitely got some very cool shots. Thank you for sharing them.
Wow! I never thought to take pictures from the TV...I LOVE how these turned out. That overlay is something fun!

I didn't watch any of the inauguration this year. I usually do, but I was too busy with a work project. Thanks for sharing the photos.
I watched it too since it was on the whole time I was working. I wish the country could come together every day like it seems to on days like that. Of course seeing Craig and Kelly Robinson from our town there is in the news here too. I should have made Kelly a bracelet to wear!
Wow, now I am really amazed at your tv photos. I'm going to have to get my camera and go watch something!
