Tag! You're It!!

What fun!

I've been tagged by Heather at A Mom, a Kid, and Art to participate in a fun blogger game that's making the rounds. The *chosen* ones get to answer some questions so the rest of us can get to know them better ....  and then the taggee's get to be the taggers and ask their own questions!

Is that about as clear as mud?

playground daze blog button quote about kindergarten
So, once you're tagged, you follow the rules:
you know, like in kindergarten  :p
  1. You must post the rules
  2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you
  3. Create 8 new questions for the people you will tag
  4. Tag 8 bloggers with a link to your post
  5. Let them know they've been tagged

Here are Heather's thought provoking and maybe embarrassing questions, and my answers .....

If you could visit anywhere in the world, regardless of cost, where would it be and why?
Hmmm, I think Holland, in the springtime when the tulips are in bloom. I visited my brother when he lived in Holland many years ago but I just missed the tulips! We saw many amazing sights as we visited various countries, but I always wanted to see those tulips!

If you could eat only one kind of food for a month what would it be?
Ice cream!!! Especially Moo-len-ium Crunch and Pralines and Cream from Blue Bell and  Mint Chocolate Chip from Braum's. After all, if I'm eating it for a month, I'd have to have a few different tastes on the menu!

What did you want to be when you were a little kid and why?
I don't really remember -- it was back in the dark ages when I was a kid!! But probably a mother -- there weren't many choices for girls back then, and my mom was a mother, after all ....

What's a bad habit you should give up?
Ice cream!!!  I've eaten it for a month, remember? It's definitely a habit by now -- and it does call to me in the night .... for real ....

Is there a celebrity or famous person that you are really sick of hearing about and who is it?
Whichever one is currently doing something stupid at the moment! But I'm really sick of Katy and Tom, Justin Beiber's driving habits, and Prince Harry's photo shoot!

What's your favorite author or book?
Too many to list! But I always grab the newest by Debbie Macomber (her Blossom Street series), Jennifer Chiaverini (Elm Creek Quilt novels), and Beverly Lewis (her Amish novels).

What's the worst piece of advice you've been given and followed?
Back in my early working days, I interviewed for a job and was not excited about it when I got the offer -- but on the advice of a good friend, I took the job. Bad idea! Turned out to be the most boring job in the universe and I knew right away that it just wouldn't work out. It was hard talking to them about it and giving notice but it was a lesson learned!

What is a funny or weird fact about yourself that not many people know?
Do you remember spiral perms? When they were all the rage in the late 80s and early 90s, my daughter just HAD to have one. Her hair was already pretty curly -- and long -- but she wouldn't take no for an answer. Plus she begged and pleaded for me to have one too -- another head of already rather curly hair. I don't know what got into me, but I caved! It took about two years for that perm to let loose of my hair! This pic is of Stephanie and her spiral perm, sitting on my uncle's shoulders and being "bunny-earred" by her brother! That perm was cute on her ..... but on me -- not so much! (I conveniently have no pic of MY spiral perm!!)

Now, here are MY questions for those hapless bloggers I have tagged ....

1.  If you had to quit doing what you do now, what would you do?
2.  What's your favorite junk food?
3.  If you could be any animal, which one would it be, and why?
4.  Who is your favorite singer of all time and which song?
5.  What was your nickname as a child? Did you like or hate it?
6.  Which reality TV show do you watch without fail? ('cause I know you do ....)
7.  Carnival rides -- love 'em, or scream like a girl?
8.  If there was one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be? (c'mon, fess up!)

And the hapless bloggers I have chosen ....

Me too- agree with you on the ice cream part! I'm so addicted....

And visiting Holland would be incredible! Thanks for the tag:) I don't think I'll be participating since I've got this new blogging restriction thing going, but thanks for thinking of me!!

Ice cream sounds like my husbands choice!! I got my hair straightened in 8th grade, and the hair on the crown broke off. I looked like Alfalfa as it grew out! You daughter looked cute! Fun post!
Blessings,
Susie

cute post :)
uh, yeah, the spiral perms did not work well with me either... my mom was in beauty school at the time and she knew my hair, however, her teacher thought she knew best and wouldn't allow her to take it off early as my mom suggested... thinking teacher knew best... well, let's just say i could have scrubbed pots and pans for months with my head!!! oh the horror

p.s. i was in 9th grade. i still have nightmarish flashbacks.

Hi Sarah, I bet you were one looker with that spiral. So fun learning a bit more about you. I have made my blog award and tag free because I have done this a few times. However, I think I will try and do it later this week. Thanks so much for thinking of me!
Hugs,
Jann

I could live on ice cream too! I remember those spiral perms! I of course had one since my hair was straight then but as I got older my hair got naturally curlier. Either that or the perm has stayed in for 30 years! LOL
