Jeepers Creepers! Monster High Dolls!

Have you seen Monster High dolls? Kind of a zombie Barbie....

Noli doesn't have them, but one of her friends does and Mommy sometimes lets her borrow them and bring them home (the better to curb the Puh-leeze Mommy, can I have one? Puh-leeeeeze? conversation). I think Mommy is pretty smart about that.

The problem is, their arms and hands come off easily....
I think it's so you can get their clothes on and off but it's really just a nuisance...

Noli thought it was hysterical that I took a picture of Zombie Girl's  rather curvy body
(no boobs but a definite posterior if you know what I mean)

Here she is relaxing on the chair, showing off her flirty boots.
and her fangs...

OK, her rather "lady of the evening" boots (if you get my drift)
I'm not telling Noli what this one looks like....

It's tiring having to tromp around in those heavy strap-filled boots!
Must rest!

This one's a mermaid -- note the rather greenish color and the webbed fingers.

Nap time! We like to cover up with napkins.

Even though Noli gets a kick out of them, I'm glad Mommy has banned them....

They would probably just end up at my house and I'd have to keep track of all those arms and hands lurking about....

A bit creepy indeed! Fangs and removable limbs..yikes!
I have to say I love her purple boots though! I totally would have worn those in high school :)

Zombie dolls! What will they think of next?

Ghoulish Barbie-type dolls? Ok, that's a bit much. You know, I think Hollywood goes over the top with all the zombie & other horror movies, but to make dead people look fun for kids? I say, good for Mommy, too!

Great "J" post, though. So, different & I totally didn't expect anything like this. :)

Thanks for linking up, my friend!

Wow how times have changed! If the boots were pink, wonder if Edi'd wear them now! :)

Noli looks very cute! Amara and many of her friends had a fleeting interest in Monster High. She does have 2 dolls and a poster or two but thankfully they all lost interest in them very quickly. This "weeks" interest in My Little Pony -- and Grandma likes them lots better!

Wacky dolls! I remember when those Bratz first came out. I was working at a gift store and the rep talked the female owner into trying a few of them. The male owner called them "The working girls!"

My youngest niece loves them..collects them!

She is 20! She's the weird, geeky, creative sort that is into anime, and dressing up, and playing role-playing video games, etc and these are right up her alley! :) She is always posting on FB about some new doll that she just got :)

Rather odd but I guess vampires and zombies are hot items right now even in dolls.

Thy're cool, but where were they when I was a kid?! I got ripped off as a kid! All the groovy toys are out now. We had stones and sticks when I was young.

Oh my!! She is quite curvy. I've been hearing so much about these dolls lately. I think they look cool! I hope my little cousins start liking them so I have an excuse to buy a couple :)

Grotesque! That's a very wise mommy, who has banned them.

Last Christmas, I was drafted to be on the look out for some of these little dolls for a friend. Her grand daughter is also a fan. About the same age as Noli. They certainly are something! Great fun letter J post!

LOL! Quite the boots!! Much racier than the troll dolls of my generation.

I guess I should have expected these to be popular! Thanks for sharing♫

I love dolls...not sure about these! But the mermaid is kind of cute! I guess I would have to see one close up! haha! What fun for kids though! Hugs!

I haven't heard of these dolls, but I bet they will be available here sooner or later! I guess the whole vampire/witch scene is filtering down even to the little ones :)
I'm surprised they still make the bodies of these dolls so unrealistic, even after the Barbie debate?!!
p.s. Noli looks adorable :)

My understanding from discussing this with Amara is that Monster High is a cartoon show -- but only available to watch online which is part of why it is not so popular.

I guess these are to go along with the vampire phase that is going on after the Twilight movies. They are a bit creepy. I looks like you had fun playing with her and her dolls though.

That's the ugliest looking, creepiest doll (?) I've ever seen.

My Grandlittles always want those, too.

They creep me out as well.

Fortunately their Mom agree with me that the girls don't need to play with such disturbing toys!

Thanks for just a wonderful link to the letter 'J'.

scary to think of all those arms and legs coming off and lying about the house!
With that very curvy back, she must have a serious backache. No wonder she has fangs!
