I had thought of planting some, but not now! Although Oliver is a house cat, there is the chance that he might sneak out, plus we have visiting kitties in the yard from time to time. I wouldn't want anything to happen to our little visitors!
The lilies mentioned are tiger lilies, Easter lilies, stargazer lilies, and certain types of day lilies. Apparently, all parts of the lily are poisonous to our kitties and ingesting only a small bit is enough to cause kidney damage, possibly fatal. Even drinking water from a bouquet on your table or licking pollen from its paws or biting a leaf can cause a kitty harm.
If you like to decorate with Easter lilies as it gets closer to Easter, please be mindful of your little fur friend and maybe get artificial lilies! Easter lilies are among the most hazardous.

Important information. We don't have a cat right now, but have had many and may again some day.
I didn't know that...thanks!
Hi Sarah,
Nice to meet ya. I love the blogging teams on ETSY, really nice to discover new bloggers. I see you are on Artfire as well, I'm new there but am liking it so far.
Great post and something I didn't realize.

That's very important information Oliver! We don't have any dangerous plants in our house or in our yard and the plants we do have are out of reach of kitty paws. It's important to keep our furbabies safe!
I didn't know this about lilies! Poinsettas are not good for pets either!
We have lots of tiger lilies every year and 4 cats... They've been living her for around 8 years... and haven't died yet ;D They're all hunter cats too! Haha… sometimes they even hang out under the plant… maybe our cats are immune to it ;D *Hugs!*

Wow! I had no idea. Thank you!
(found you on EBT)
thanks for spreading that word! Milo likes to nibble on anything growing in the house and since lilies are my favorite flower, this could be a dangerous combo!
Thank you SO much for sharing this... never knew.
